DevMtaani
From Mtaani. For Mtaani.
FROM GRASSROOTS TO HALLMARK PROJECTS
Welcome to DevMtaani, our flagship initiative designed as a grassroots empowerment model that brings communities and youth together to co-create solutions for local development through enterprise and innovation.
Invest in your youth by contributing to a seed capital kitty designed to be a shared resource for funding youth-led enterprises in your community.
DevMtaani is here to impact your youth and your community.
It is designed to catalyze youth-driven local development by establishing a seed capital fund, supported by communities, well-wishers, and donors, which will be used to incubate businesses and projects that address local needs while creating employment opportunities.
"I am a strong believer in living a quality life. We, as young people, should embrace it because that is how we grow and improve. Programs that enable young people to live a quality life and improve the quality of their communities should be embraced and not fought."

How DevMtaani Works
Seed Capital Kitty
Community, well-wishers and donors contribute voluntarily to a pooled fund (monetary and in-kind). This fund is managed transparently, often with community oversight and accountability structures.
Youth Enterprise Incubation
Youths from the community form project teams or cooperatives. They pitch viable businesses or innovation ideas that align with the community needs. Selected ventures receive funding, mentorship, and operational support from the DevMtaani kitty.
Business Creation
The seed capital is invested in community-centric enterprises, and projects built under iCEMA GROUP programs, that is, Creative Arts & Music and Science and Innovation. Projects are selected based on sustainability, employment potential, and local relevance.
Profit and Impact Sharing
A portion of the project's profits may be reinvested into the kitty. The rest supports the entrepreneurs, expands operations, and creates employment. The community benefits directly through local services, jobs, and shared pride.
"We believe we can grow our communities from the ground up. We believe that if enough resources are channeled into our grassroots communities to support young people from there, we can build a self-sustaining Africa."
